If you ask Craig Waterworth’s clients what makes him special, you’ll hear a consistent theme: he makes you feel like you’ve known him for years, even if you’ve just met. As Ruckart’s lead buyer’s agent, Craig’s genuine care for his clients and deep knowledge of Richmond real estate have made him one of Central Virginia’s most trusted agents.
Craig’s path to real estate wasn’t direct, but every step shaped his approach to serving clients. Since joining Ruckart in 2016, he’s built his success on a foundation of integrity, work ethic, and an unwavering “client first” mentality. “Real estate isn’t just my job – it’s who I am,” Craig says, and it shows in everything from his enthusiasm for architecture to his dedication to making the homebuying process smooth and enjoyable.
Born and raised in Richmond, Craig brings firsthand experience of the area’s diverse communities to every client relationship. Having lived everywhere from the Fan to Westover Hills, his passion for the city and its neighborhoods runs deep. That local knowledge, combined with his natural ability to understand what “home” means for each client’s unique situation, makes him an invaluable guide in your real estate journey.
A craftsman and family man at heart, Craig spends his free time building furniture, running Monument Avenue 10Ks, and raising his two young children with his wife Emily. You might find him at an open house with a toddler in his arms or covered in sawdust from his latest woodworking project – that perfect blend of professional expertise and authentic personality that’s made him one of Richmond’s most successful agents.
Q&A
What was your first concert?
The eldest of my brothers, Tommy (who is 7 years my senior), took my other brother Brett and me to a Fun Size concert at a local Middle School in the early 90’s when I was just a third grader. I remember sitting on top of Tommy’s shoulders while he ran through the mosh pits!
Who would play you in a movie about your life?
I would hope the leading role would be played by someone like Matthew McConaughey, Ryan Reynolds, or maybe even Owen Wilson. But in real life, it would probably be someone more like Michael Keaton.
What’s your guilty pleasure?
One of my favorite things to do in the world is to stick my hands in the dirt and work on my garden or lawn through all hours of the day and night. My wife Emily calls it “tinkering” and has since been dubbed me “Tinkerbell.”
